Let Me Be Your Guide

I understand the overextended struggle, having paid for pursuit of my goals with years of stress and imbalance. I began to doubt my calling when it seemed to demand the sacrifice of the things that matter most—my relationships, happiness, and health. My breakthrough came with the discovery that my stress wasn’t something that was happening to me, but was actually a by-product of poor self-care. 

I found that the same science used to study disease could also be used to develop a framework for designing an optimal wellness lifestyle. After changing my behavior and environment, I made dramatic improvements in my performance and wellbeing, which transformed my life. 

A lightbulb went off in my head when I asked myself, “What if everyone had the tools and knowledge to achieve optimal health, happiness and performance? How different would the world be?” This question revealed my true path: leading others towards their full potential by showing them how to actualize true health. 

You might ask, what that statement even means. Health is not as simple as the absence of illness.   Calling it “a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing” is a bit utopian and overly idealistic. The best definition I have found is: “The ability to adapt and to self-manage, in the face of social, physical and emotional challenges.”
